The blog for the $hell Magic screencast series

$hell Magic is screencast series that shows Linux and Unix newbies how to use the Linux and Unix shell.  This blog is a place where these screencasts can be publicized and organized, while also giving viewers a place to make comments or ask questions.

The author of this blog is Tom Purl, a Unix and Linux enthusiast and middleware systems administrator.  While he does not claim to be a Unix expert, he has been using it for 15 years, and has been a home Linux user for 9 years.  He also enjoys spending time with his family and cooking, and he feels a little weird writing about himself in the third person.
